Resolved Question

Did you watch Special assignment last night?

Do you think it's fair for prisoners not to have medial parole? Many people die in prisons and are denied medial parole

Dogma has a point. i think people are not feeling sorry for them because they did not watch it. Guys it's heartbreaking. Maybe there should be hospitals within prisons, that would be much better.

It's a matter of administration and security. Unfortunately, these people fall at the bottom of the pile. When law-abiding citizens don't have many rights (or at least are unable to enforce their rights), what chance do the prisoners stand?

They should have thought bout it the day they raped or murdered whoever so screw them let them die and suffer the same pain the victims suffered.

Ask Shabir Shaik - he seems to be doing ok.

Hell no!!! Let them suffer!!! They are in there for a reason!! Let them die!!!!

I watched it, and although I think that not everyone deserves the medical parole, that case where the prisoner became the responsibility of the others, they had to bath him, have to turn you in bed, clean your ass, I mean this is really a case for medical parole, what crime is he ever going to commit again. Anf then there are those who have been declared to have a couple of months left to live, send them home to their families who will be held responsible for their actions if they step out of line. Let the almost dead, die in dignity and with love.

Who cares they should have thought of that before getting their asses thrown into jail - take away their tvs, mattresses and feed them once a day only as far as I am concerned. Shabir seems to be doing fine though ?

No sorry I missed!

No I think people should be made to think what the consequences are before they commit a crime. Who is going to care of these people. Do you not think you shall be spread the virus even more so due the lack of education via the virus. Who is going to supply the families of these people with gloves and protective wear to take care of the family. Or do you want a greater burden placed on the already over crowd hospitals where we do not have the staff? This is the reason I do and shall not call my self a christian knowing that people are suffering like this.

I think they should ROTi n prison, where was their sympathy for their victims?? and they should have NO TV and be made to work for their keep..no work.no food etc etc

Yes, it was heartbreaking. It would be best if they would take away all the luxuries that they have and give them a hospital in the prison.

Didnt watch, but i just feel they should not be granted any favours, fine... that guy that the other prisoners are taking care of is suffering... but what did he do to end up in prison? Maybe just maybe he raped a lady... maybe a young girl? Maybe he brutally murdered someone? Who knows.... if they showed that on 3rd degree how would you feel about him then? Look maybe i am wrong and maybe this guy is in there for some petty crime, but why should i feel sorry for them if they are the reason that we all live in fear all day. How would you feel if someone close to you was murdered and you find out a couple of years later that the man locked up for that crime was released because he is ill? They should rather get hospitals in prisons... i think that is an excellent idea, i actually always thought they did have some sort of a medical ward or something, shouldnt even be an option.

Sorry I did not watch. But bear in mind they are in prison for a reason, now why should there be special treatment for them? If there are some that are terminally ill, then that is another story, ja send them home, there is not much you can do if you are dying is there?

Just like every government department run by the ANC, everything is out of wack, back to front, nonsensical and a complete disaster. This was monstrous. I cried. And to think, the people who should really also be there are making the rules which are followed in our jails. Just thinking of Schabbir Shaik makes my blood boil. What some of these men are suffering is absolutely inhumane, no matter what they have done. I am sure they would have preferred the death penalty. Surely, when someone is at deaths door, he/she can be sent home. What harm can that do. I agree, if you do the crime, you do the time, but we need more jails, better jails and compassion. Maybe the interns will then come out, better people than they were.
