How do I remove a dead previous owner from my quit claim deed?
I bought the property from a lady unknowing that her dead husband was still on the deed. Before I got the quit claim deed filed, the lady I bought it from died.

Sorry Jeff, no idea. Surely you have an attorney dealing with the transfer, so can't he advice you?

Go to the Department for Registering of births, deaths, etc. Gt a copy of his death certificate. I am sure the lady will give you the written approval to obtain this document. She surely has to have one too. A dead person can not be held responsible for anything.
