Too many sweets of any kind are not good for one, though the dangers (sic!) of sugar are frequently over-exaggerated. Peppermint, however, has many proven uses and is particularly good for upset tummies and flatulence! There are many websites dealing with peppermint - see the one below. When I gave up smoking - cold turkey - some 20+ years ago I replaced that habit with kilos and kilos of peppermints and they didn't do me any harm - for the past seven years I've been breathing someone else's oxygen and am still going strong!!
