LOL CRISPY DUCK. But I think it was the other way round. "The Bird domesticated Adam!! ***First domesticated birds http://www.wild-bird-watching.com/Pigeons.html This website suggests that it is pigeon. Rock Doves are thought to have been the first domesticated bird, raised for meat as far back as the time of the ancient Egyptians. http://www.bebo.com/Profile.jsp?MemberId=59182898 And this website suggests that The first domesticated bird was the goose. http://ladywildlife.com/animal/mallard.html The above website suggests that It is believed that the mallard was the first domesticated bird, predating even the chicken. http://www.trivia-library.com/b/animal-info-chickens-place-of-origin.htm The above website suggests that it is chickens!! However, the chicken's direct ancestor is the wild red jungle fowl found in Thailand, Burma, Sumatra, and eastern India. Tamed by man about 5,000 years ago, it was probably the first domesticated bird. So, actually it seems that the answers is not known. All of the above sources give different answers and some of them are not even sure about their answers. They use "It is believed" or "probably"! As I searched in wikipedia there seems to be no information about that. Check this link out.
