What is the difference between a Bsc and BA in Psychology?
Can someone please elaborate on the above for me. Which one is better than the other, and who is it better for, and for what reasons. Which one would yield broader prospects in the field, and why? And does UNISA offer a BSC in Psychology - as far as I understand they don’t, unless one does a Bsc General and majors in Psychology. If someone’s goal is to pursue their Masters in the field, would it be better to go the Bsc or the BA route? What are some of the most common misconceptions about this field? Please help if you can shed some valuable light on the subject…

My guess would be BSc. In our student days, we referred to the BA degrees as "BA Manvang".... (Simple courses, just to get you into varsity, to 'catch' a husband.... who preferrably studied Law or Medicine or the like).

Choosing to follow the B.S. or the B.A. psychology program depends what your career goals are.
If your interests are in areas such as Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Social Psychology, and Developmental Psychology then you may benefit most from completing a B.A. degree program in Psychology

BSC is science/maths oriented... BA not... some people refer to BA as "bugger all" becos it's so easy, but believe me, it's hardwork... If you good with maths/science do the BSC degree... you can supplement psychology as additional modules... check out the calendar /modules online at www.unisa.ac.za
