Those that are Chrostians most probab;y do it the same as whites Christians. As for the rest, they just have a good time, eating drinking and making more poor babies.

Same as we do

The ultimate truth is, when you watch the various church services on TV on Christmas Eve and Christmas day, our black brothers fill virtually all the seats. Many, many devout Christians amongst them. So because we are such a small minority, I think there are more Black Christians than white who practice this day as the birth of Christ. And others who, just like the rest of us, see it as a jolly holiday , a day or merriment and drinking and giving presents. The most expensive holiday of the year.

Sometimes it is hard to believe that you ever lived in S.Afr...and if you did..Where did you live that you missed so much of what was happening around you...and did you never ask these sort of questions when you lived in S.Africa?? Did you ever speak to an african ??

In the normal way.

I think they have been taken in by big business to buy, buy, buy as much as they can, so that the big boys can make LOTS of money. The whites may be getting a little jaded about these tricks, but it is quite new for many black people who, for the first time, have money to spend and will carry on doing it until they too realise that it is a sham. Christmas is supposed to be about worshipping the birth of Christ and loving people but I don't know how often it turns out that way.

Not even all white Christian South Africans celebrate Christmas the same way. Some celebrate Christmas Eve, some on Christmas day. Some braai, some do the turkey thing, some have cold meats and salads, some pap and wors, some bread and some starve like every other day. Same for black people.
