what is being referred to as EE/AA & non EE/AA in job applications.

Best Answer

EE = Employment Equity, ie a company could consider job applications from all race groups, depending on the company demographics at the time, although I think many companies use this when they really mean AA. AA = Affirmative Action - a company will only consider formerly disadvantaged people.

EE=East European, only South Africans with roots from East Europe need apply. AA=Automobile Association, only South Africans who drive yellow cars need apply. It is a sort of job reservation practice that has been practiced by a succession of governments in South Africa for the past 55 years.

Ritous, not quite: AA = Affirmative Action, only BLACK South Africans' CVs would be considered. EE = Employment Equity, which means, that for every race, there must be equivalent other races representing a unit in a workplace, so, anybody can apply, hopefully you're the lucky one to be appointed... Sometimes it's referring to they prefer a woman..
